Samarcanda Film is more than a production house: it is a laboratory of stories, a place where the art of storytelling comes to life. We are driven by an inexhaustible spirit of curiosity, the desire to explore, discover and share worlds, whether geographical or internal. The journey, in all its forms, is the common thread of our productions. Through our projects, we try not only to cross physical borders but also to probe the human soul, telling stories that speak of adventure, identity, challenges and transformations.

We love collaborating with great literary authors, capable of giving depth and authenticity to narratives. Our work is nourished by their vision, their ability to grasp the essence of universal themes and transform them into stories that resonate in the hearts of the public. This is where the films with Daniel Pennac (Ho visto Maradona, 2022), Fabio Geda (Se fate i bravi, 2022) and Paolo Cognetti (Sogni di grande Nord, 2021 and Fiore mio, 2024) were born.

Our goal is to bring to the screen stories that can inspire, excite and make you think, whether it is a bicycle trip from one end of the world to the other (Kapp to cape 2015), the life of Massimo Troisi (Buon compleanno Massimo 2022), the birth of cabaret in Italy (C’era una volta il Derby Club 2023) or the history of Roman comedy (La Scuola Romana 2024).
